Mechanical - Hydraulic Shock Absorber, Two Action Shock Absorber
The Mechanical - Hydraulic Shock Absorber is a two-action modern shock absorber, absorbing the shimmy and commotion of drill bit by compressing two kinds of damping units (dished spring and silicone oil) to store the energy. The damping rigidity of the Shock Absorber equals the combined rigidity value of dished spring and silicone oil, having a great scope of rigidity. Thus, it can meet a need of distinct layer fully and give a best protection to bits. And it has an advantage of well maintainable, bearing high load and long service life. The drilling torque of upper tool can be transmitted to lower tool through spline body. The absorbing elements: dished spring and silicone oil.
The Shock Absorber exists double spring rates in one absorbing stroke when it is applied the drilling pressure. Meanwhile, the damping mechanism of dished spring can make action firstly; that of silicone oil would function by the increasing of drilling pressure. The combined rigidity value of two damping mechanism belongs to the maximum value.
The Mechanical - Hydraulic Shock Absorber can also get more rigidity combination by different assembling of dished spring and the silicone oil volume as to meet the requirement of optimal tool assembly. The spring rate of dished spring adopted steel material as elastic element can be obtained by adjusting the assembly of dished spring. The spring rate of silicone oil adopted liquid as elastic element can be obtained by adjusting the silicone oil filling volume.
The user can prearrange initial rigidity and maximum rigidity by assembling. Moreover, the maximum rigidity equals the value of two damping mechanism, making the Absorber produced a better absorbing effect under low and high drilling pressure as to meet the needs of different formation.
It is required that downhole condition should be sound and better slurry performance. Normally, it cannot be affected by drill pressure, rotation rate, pump pressure and oil-gas media. The Shock Absorber is used to drill hard formation, gravel layer and soft hardness interlining, getting more conspicuous effect. However, it should choose the best drill pressure and torque as the specified circumstances during drilling to get the optimal fitting of drilling parameter.
